What's the difference between my user ID and my user name?
Verizon Online automatically creates an ID when you sign up for service. This is typically something like vze10345 or res10345. You can use your ID to connect to Verizon Online. Once you are connected, you can browse the Web, send and receive e-mail, and more. Your e-mail address would be yourID@verizon.net.

You also have the opportunity to choose your own personalized user name - a name easier to remember. If you haven’t selected one yet, create one now. You can use your user name just like you use your ID. That means you have an alternate address for your e-mail - yourUserName@verizon.net.
