How do I create additional email accounts for friends and family? To create additional email accounts for friends and family, set up a sub-account. A sub-account is a secondary email account associated with your main Verizon email account.

About sub-accounts
  • As the primary account holder, you can set up 8 sub-accounts*. First, set up your sub-accounts in My Account. Next, set up your sub accounts in Outlook Express.

  • Each sub-account has its own user name and password.

  • Specify which sub-accounts have email access.

    *The sub-accounts you create from My Account (Set Up Sub-Account Tool) are only accessible from your email account.
