Scheduling

• During ordering, the next available installation date will automatically be assigned. However, you can always check the calendar for availability and select a date and timeslot that works best with your schedule.
• Shortly before your scheduled installation date, a courteous and professional FiOS installer will come to your home to connect a fiber connection to your premises.

Installing Our Fiber-Optic Network

• The technician will mount an Optical Network Terminal (ONT), a very small box, on the side of your home, most likely near your existing telephone box or wherever you prefer.
• Fiber cabling from an adjacent telephone pole will be run to the newly installed ONT.

In-Home Wiring

• On the date of your installation, a FiOS technician will discuss with you where you'd like your TV hookup(s) placed prior to installing.
• The technician will verify that the highest-quality signal is being sent from your ONT on the outside of the house.
• The ONT will then be connected to the existing coaxial cabling in your home.

Receiver Setup

• The appropriate cabling will be run from the coaxial outlet to your FiOS TV receiver and from the receiver to your TV.
• The receiver will be activated and tested.
• The remote will be programmed and the Interactive Media Guide, widgets, DVR (if applicable) and Video On Demand will be checked to make sure they are functioning properly.

Demonstration and Completion

• After the installation, the technicians will demo the Interactive Media Guide, VOD, widgets, help guides and remote functionality and answer any questions you may have.
• All work areas will be cleaned and returned to their original state so you'll never even know we were there!
• You'll receive a statement of work performed and/or any costs incurred for additional wiring or TV connections beyond three, as well as contact info for help and support. We're dedicated to making sure your FiOS TV experience is simply amazing!

Things to Keep In Mind

• Set aside at least four hours for installation.
• An adult (18 years or older) must be present at the time of installation.
