System Requirements

• Before finalizing your Verizon High Speed Internet order, please confirm that your computer meets the minimum system requirements for Verizon High Speed Internet service.

Installation Kit

• After you order Verizon High Speed Internet, we’ll provide you with a service- ready date and send you a self-installation kit.
• Your kit will be delivered 1 or 2 days before your service-ready date. It will include easy-to-follow instructions, a modem or router, cables, a phone cord and filters. Filters (or “microfilters”) are devices you plug into your phone jacks to allow a high-speed Internet connection.*

Setup

Once we’ve notified you that your service is ready, you can begin setting it up.

• Place filters on all phones, fax machines and other devices connected to phone jacks.*
• Connect your computer to the modem or router.
• Connect the modem or router to a phone jack.
• Connect the power cord to the modem or router and plug it into an electrical outlet.
• Turn on the modem and wait for the “Internet” light to turn green.
• Open an Internet browser such as Internet Explorer or Safari. Online instructions will then guide you through setting up your Verizon High Speed Internet account, email address, home page and much more.
