The Parental Control capabilities of the Verizon Internet Security Suite (VISS) lets you limit the Web sites that your children access. You can restrict your child from looking at certain Web sites, control when your child can access the Internet, and prevent certain software programs like instant messaging from connecting to the Internet.

Parental Control blocks more than 70 million questionable Web sites, in addition to the Web sites that you set. Blocked sites are compiled in a log that you can review whenever you like.

Before creating any settings in Parental Control, be sure to enable it and create your password. Using a password ensures that the restrictions you set can't be changed.

To enable Parental Control:
  1. From the left menu bar, select Parental Control.
  2. Select Enable Parental Control and follow the prompts to create your password.
