I forgot my user name and password. What should I do?

Verizon provides a phone number and online tool to help you create a new user name and reset your password.
Note: If you have the Westell 2200 modem, the Westell 6100 modem, the Westell VersaLink 327W, or if you use Outlook Express, you must update software settings to match your new Verizon Online password. If you do not update your settings, you will not be able to connect to the Internet, or you will not be able to send and receive email using Outlook Express.
- If you can't remember your user name, call Technical Support at (800) 567-6789.
- If you know your Verizon user name and the answer to your secret question but have forgotten your password, you can use the Verizon Online Password Reset tool to reset it.
When changing your password, keep the following tips in mind:
- Your password is case-sensitive.
- Use a combination of at least six numbers and letters.
- Don't use your user name in any form (For example, spelled backwards or with a number added to the beginning or end).
- Avoid using a single word, from any language, with a number added to the beginning or end.
- Your password cannot include such characters as /, #, *, or blank spaces.
- Please allow up to one hour for your password change to take effect.
