Setting up your Verizon Online email with Outlook Express 5 - 6 on Windows
  1. In the Account Name field, enter your Verizon Online user name.


  2. Enter your password in the Password field.
    • Note: Selecting the Remember password option lets Outlook Express connect to your mailbox without asking you for your password. Enabling this feature is optional.

  3. Select Next.


  4. Click Finish to save the new email settings.


  5. Click Properties. The incoming.verizon.net Properties dialog box will display.

  6. Select the Servers tab.


  7. Select the My server requires authentication check box and then click Settings.


  8. Verify Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected. Click OK.


  9. Click OK to save the mail account.


  10. Click Close to close the Internet Accounts dialog box.


After setting up Outlook Express, you can send and receive email by selecting Send and Receive from the Tools menu.
