What are my email and news server settings?

The following are the settings for setting up and configuring your email, newsgroups, remote access, and FTP access for your home page address.

User name settings
  • Your Verizon Online user name (for example, vzn12345)
  • Your Verizon Online password (for example, password1)
DSL settings
  • Domain: dsl.verizon.net
  • Network protocol used: TCP/IP
Mail server settings
  • Incoming mail server (POP3): incoming.verizon.net
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): outgoing.verizon.net
  • Your Verizon Online user name
  • Your Verizon Online password
News server settings
  • News (NNTP) server: news.verizon.net
  • Your Verizon Online user name
  • Your Verizon Online password
Remote access settings (Dial-up)
  • Domain: verizon.net
  • Network protocol used: TCP/IP


  • Note: Remote Access is available only if you subscribe to dial-up roaming with your Verizon High Speed Internet service.
Home page/FTP settings
  • FTP hostname or address: ftpmysite.verizon.net
  • Your Verizon Online user name
  • Your Verizon Online password
  • Your home page address: http://mysite.verizon.net/username
