How does spyware affect my computer's performance? Spyware uses your computer's memory and system resources while it is running in the background. This slows your computer's processing speed and can lead to system crashes and instability.

Because the spyware is downloading advertising to display and sending information on your activities to its "home base," it is using valuable Internet bandwidth that isn't available for your other activities. Not only is the spyware sending your personal information without your consent, it is slowing down your computer to do it.
