Create a dial-up connection with Macintosh OS X Before following the instructions below, use the Verizon Online Dial-up Access number tool to choose a local dial-up access phone number.
  1. From the Apple menu, select System Preferences.
  2. Click Network.
  3. From the Configure field, select Internal Modem. Select the TCP/IP tab.
  4. From the Configure field, select Using PPP. Select the PPP tab.
  5. In the Service Provider field, enter Verizon Online.
  6. In the Telephone Number field, enter the local dial-up access number you selected.
  7. In the Account Name field, enter VZ/ followed by your User Name (or your User ID).
  8. Enter your password in the Password field, and select Save password if you want the system to remember your password.
  9. Click Save to save your new settings.
