New to Webmail?

With your Verizon Webmail account you can access your email from your home or office through Outlook, Outlook Express, or from Windows Vista Mail. Access your email from anywhere in the world using an Internet connection.

What does Webmail include?

Once your email account has been set up, you can begin sending and receiving email immediately.

Webmail comes with the following features:

·         Improved navigation with drag-and-drop technology

·         Better block senders, spam control and anti-virus features

·         2 GB of storage

·         Manage more mail and larger folders

·         Change fonts, colors, and add highlighting

Verizon Webmail currently supported on the following platforms:

·         Internet Explorer 6.0 and above

·         Firefox 2.0 and above

·         Firefox on Mac

Ready to get started?

Log in to your email inbox by entering the user name and password you selected during installation. Did you forget your user name and password?

How do I check for new mail?

There are several methods of refreshing your inbox for new email messages. If you want to manually check for new email, select Check Mail in the upper right-hand corner of your viewing window.

If you would like to set up Webmail to automatically check for new messages, do the following:

·         Select Preferences from the lower left-hand portion of the window

·         Under the General Tab in MAIL PREFERENCES, select the drop-down menu from Auto-Check Mail

·         Choose one of the following: Manually, Every 5 Minutes, Every 15 Minutes, Every 30 Minutes, Every Hour

Once you have made your selection, Webmail will automatically refresh your inbox for new email messages according to the time you specified in Preferences.

How do I compose a message?

To compose a message, do the following:

·         From the toolbar, select New

·         A NEW MESSAGE window will appear

·         In the To: field enter email addresses for those whom you wish to contact, enter a subject heading in the Subject: field (if you wish), then compose your email

·         When you are finished, select Send  

From the NEW MESSAGE window you can also save your message as a draft, add rich text, attachments, and spell check.
