Editing your Verizon Online email settings with Outlook Express 5 on the Mac®
  1. Double-click the Outlook Express icon to start the program. This icon is usually located on the desktop, or in the Microsoft Internet Explorer folder on your hard drive.
  2. From the Tools menu, select Accounts.
  3. Select your Verizon Online email account, then click Edit.
  4. In the Name field under Personal Information, type your name.
  5. In the Email address field, type your Verizon Online email address.
  6. In the Account ID field, type your Verizon Online user name.
  7. In the POP server field, type incoming.verizon.net.
  8. In the Password field, type your Verizon Online password.
  9. In the SMTP server field name, type outgoing.verizon.net.
  10. Select the Options tab.
  11. Verify that Leave a copy of each message on the server is not checked.
  12. Select OK to return to the Accounts window.
  13. Select the News tab.
  14. Select the email account that you want to edit.
  15. Select Edit to open the Edit Account window.
  16. In the Organization field, type Verizon Online.
  17. In the News Server field, type news.verizon.net.
  18. Click OK.
  19. Click Close to close the Accounts window.
