Send and receive email with Outlook Express 5 - 6 in Windows®  

 

To send email using Outlook Express:

  1. Open Outlook Express.
  1. Select the Create Mail button. A New Message window appears.


  2. Type the email address for your recipient in the To: field.


  3. Press [Tab] to move the cursor to the Cc: field.Type the email address for any recipients that should receive a copy of the the email.


  4. Press [Tab] to move the cursor to the Subject: field. Type a brief subject line relating to the message.


  5. Press [Tab] to move the cursor to the body of the message. Type a message.


  6. To check the spelling of the message, press [F7] or click the Spelling icon in the toolbar.


  7. Click the Send icon to send the message.



    To read your email using Outlook Express:

    1. Open Outlook Express.


    2. Click the Send/Recv icon to update the list of emails in your Inbox.
