This message can indicate a variety of issues, but it's usually related to a shortage of free hard drive space. To resolve this issue, try increasing the amount of free space on your hard disk drive by removing unnecessary files or unused programs. Error 550 Relaying Denied This error occurs when an email message is sent to a server that does not recognize the sender.
  1. Make sure that you are entering your user name and password correctly.
  2. Try sending the email later. Sometimes this error is intermittent.
  3. Check your email software to make sure that your outgoing email server is set to outgoing.verizon.net. Verify that all other email settings are correct.
Returned Mail: User Unknown
A message you attempted to send was returned because there was a problem with the user name in the original email message. Check the entire email address for mistakes, particularly the part before the "@" symbol in the email address.

Returned Mail: Host Unknown
