Why won't pictures load in my browser? If some pictures from a Web page load and others don't, some of the site's links are probably broken. Pictures are separate files a browser gathers to make a Web page, and the picture may not be where the browser has been told to look.

The Internet or the server may be slow, and the pictures may take longer than usual to download. Wait a few more minutes.

You may need a third-party browser extension (for Internet Explorer) or helper application (for Netscape Navigator) to see the picture. Some sites use different picture formats that a browser needs help to read.

Your browser may be set up to view the pages as text only. Some users prefer this method of browsing because it's faster. To show pictures in Internet Explorer, Tools/Internet options/Advanced tab/Multimedia section/Show pictures must be checked. In Netscape Navigator, Edit/Preferences/Privacy and Security/Images/Accept all images must be checked.
