Connecting a PlayStation3 to a wired home network
  1. Connect an Ethernet cable to your PlayStation3 system.

  2. From the Home menu, select Settings, and then select Network Settings.

  3. Select Internet Connection Settings. A confirmation screen appears stating that you will be disconnected from the Internet.


  4. Select Yes.

  5. Select Easy.

    After you confirm the network configuration, a list of settings is displayed. Depending on your network environment, additional settings for PPPoE, proxy server or IP address may be required.

    For details on these settings, refer to the instructions that came with your network device.

  1. Save your settings and then test your connection by selecting Test Connection.

    The system attempts to connect to the Internet.

  2. Confirm the connection test results. If a successful connection has been made, information on the network is displayed.
