I've forgotten my Verizon 9100VM router's password. How can I update my security settings? You may be instructed by a Verizon technical support person to reset your router in order to clear any existing properties. You may also have to reset your router to the factory defaults if you have forgotten your router user name or password.

  • Note: Resetting your Verizon 9100VM router clears all of your home networking settings.

To reset your Verizon router:
  1. With the power on (Power LED on front panel should be lit green), use the pointed end of a paper clip to press and hold the Reset button for 10 seconds.

  2. Verizon 9100VM Reset Button

  3. Release the Reset button. The Verizon router will automatically reboot itself.

  4. Wait 15 seconds before resuming setup.

  5. If you didn't change your network security settings from the default values listed on the sticker attached to the bottom of your router before resetting your router, no further action is required. However, if you've changed your security settings since installation, you must re-enter your SSID and WEP key to match the values that were saved in your router before you reset it. Otherwise, your router won't recognize the network computers attached by wireless adapters.
