I forgot the user name and password for my router

Setting up a router user name and password is a security precaution to ensure that unauthorized users do not have access to the computers connected to the network via the router. You probably changed your user name and password from the factory defaults either when you installed FiOS or when you set up your network.

Note: The router user name and password may be different from your Verizon Broadband user name and password.

The default user name and password for your router were provided in the documentation that came with your router. If you changed your default user name and password, you will need to find the new information or reset your router to the factory default values.
