FiOS Internet Solution Center

Rebooting your FiOS router Rebooting your router often fixes Internet connection problems you may be experiencing.

To reboot your router:

  1. If you have a home network, turn off the computer connected to your router first.

  2. Turn off your router, wait 1 minute, and then turn your router back on.
  3. If you turned your computer off, turn it back on.

  4. Retest your Internet connection by connecting to the Verizon site. If the Verizon Web site displays in a new window, you have solved your issue and you can close the new pop-up window.

  5. If you're still unable to connect to the Internet, continue by checking your router connections.
