Common Web browser error messages 403 Forbidden/Access Denied
You do not have permission to access this directory or file. You may have to use a password to access this directory or file, or you may not be allowed to access this directory or file from the network that you are using.

404 File Not Found
The file specified in the URL was not found at the site. If you got this error after clicking on a link, then the link may be broken. If you typed in the URL, you may have mistyped the URL, or the file or document that you are looking for has been renamed, moved, or deleted from the site. More help

503 Service Unavailable
The site you are trying to open may be too busy, or there may be a problem with your service. Visit the site later.

Bad File Request
There are errors in the HTML coding in the page that you have opened. Send an email to the Webmaster of the site.

Cannot Add Form Submission Result to Bookmark List
You have tried to save the results of a search as a bookmark or a favorite. Your Web browser won't let you save your search results as a bookmark.

Connection Refused by Host
This error is similar to a 403 Forbidden/Access Denied error. You do not have permission to access this directory or file. You may have to use a password to access this directory or file, or you may not be allowed to access this directory or file from the network that you are using.

Failed DNS Lookup
The domain specified in the URL could not be resolved to an IP address. Check the spelling of the URL, and then refresh the page. If you still see this error, visit the site later.

File Contains no Data
The Web site was found, but there is no data there. Refresh the page, and if you still see the error, visit the site later.

Helper Application not Found
Your browser cannot display a file presented by the Web page, and there is no Helper Application to use to display that file.

HTTP Server at Compressed verizon.net:8080 Replies:HTTP/1.0 500 Error from Proxy
This error indicates that there was an error with the proxy server. Refresh the page, and if you still see the error, visit the site later.

NTTP Server Error
The news server you are trying to connect to can't be found. Check your news settings to ensure that the news server name is entered correctly, and your news reading software is properly configured.

Not Found
The file specified in the URL has been renamed, moved, or deleted. More help.

Site Unavailable
This error can be caused by a mistyped URL, too much network traffic, or technical problems with the site itself.

TCP Error Encountered While Sending Request to Server
This error is caused by erroneous data on the line between you and the requested site. This may be hardware-related. Report the error to your network administrator and try again later.

Too Many Users
This error is caused by too many people trying to use a Web site at once. Refresh the page, and if you still see the error, visit the site later.

Unable to Locate Host
The Web site may be down for maintenance, or you may have a problem with your connection. Try opening other Web sites to determine if the problem is with your connection or with the site that generated the error.
