CableCARD installation and removal How do I obtain and install a CableCARD?
You can lease a CableCARD directly from Verizon for a low monthly fee. Once you have obtained a CableCARD, a Verizon field technician installs the CableCARD into your DCR (Digital Cable Ready) device. To order a CableCARD, contact the Verizon Fiber Solutions Center.

What should I do if I want to cancel my CableCARD service?
Contact the Verizon Fiber Solutions Center to cancel your service and return the card to Verizon.

Can I remove my CableCARD from the DCR TV where it is currently installed and plug it into another DCR TV?
No. After your CableCARD is activated, the card is "paired" with the DCR device (TV or DVR) in which it was originally installed. You must contact the Verizon Fiber Solutions Center for your CableCARD to be properly installed in another DCR device.

What should I do if I move?
You must return your CableCARD to Verizon if you move outside your area of service. Contact the Verizon Fiber Solutions Center if you are moving.

Do I have to remove my CableCARD from my DCR TV or DVR if I need to temporarily return it for repair?
Yes. Remove the CableCARD from your DCR device and keep it in a safe place. You are responsible for the replacement cost if the card is lost. Contact the Verizon Fiber Solutions Center once your DCR TV is returned to perform the CableCARD re-installation process over the phone.

My DCR device was defective so it was replaced. Can I use my CableCARD in the new unit?
Yes, but you must contact the Verizon Fiber Solutions Center for your CableCARD to be properly installed in the new DCR device.
