Why is there an indicator light on my Set-top Box?

The indicator light lets you know that you have a message from Verizon waiting for you in the Message Center. This is a FiOS TV feature that helps keep you informed about what's happening with FiOS TV. You'll receive messages about upcoming changes, new features, channel information, and other news about your FiOS TV service.
To access your messages: - Press the Menu button on your remote control.
- Choose Message Center.
Read your messages and delete them when you're done. Clearing the messages turns off the indicator light on the front of your set-top box.
