Programming your Motorola DRC800 Universal Remote Control To set up your Motorola DRC800 Universal remote, follow the steps below:
  1. Find the remote codes for the devices you want to set up. You can find the latest codes below:

    Codes
    Televisions
    DVDs
    VCRs
    Audio Receivers
    Audio Amplifiers

In addition, remote codes are listed in the Motorola DRC800 Universal Remote Control User Guide.

  2. Note: The DVD/VCR button can control a DVD, VCR, or a combination TV/DVD, TV/VCR, or TV/DVD/VCR.

  3. Write down the remote codes for the devices you want to set up.

  4. Turn on the device you want to program into your remote, for example if you are programming your remote to control your TV, then turn on the TV.

  5. Press and hold for six seconds the device button for the device you turned on in step 2.

  6. The lights for each device button light up and the light for the device button you selected remains on.

  7. Enter the  remote code for the device (if there is more than one remote code listed for your equipment, start with the first remote code in the list).

  8. Note: The light for the device button turns off briefly after each button press. You have 10 seconds to press each digit. If it takes longer than that, the remote times out and you must begin again.

  9. If the device recognizes the code, then the device button blinks three times. Point the remote at the device and press the Power button.

  10. Did the device turn off?
Yes: Keep the code you wrote down above for future reference. You may need it again if the remote code is accidentally erased.
No: Repeat these steps using the next remote code listed for your equipment.

Note: If none of the listed codes work for your equipment, you can use your remote to manually search for a valid code.

  11. Repeat this procedure for each device you want to program into your remote control.
