Programming your Philips RC-144 remote to turn devices on or off one at a time In some cases, you may need or want to be able to turn devices connected to your FiOS TV setup on or off one at a time. Follow the procedure below to program your Philips remote to enable this option:

1. Press and hold the STB button.
   
   
2. While holding down the STB button, press OK.
   
   
3. Release both buttons.
   
   The device buttons (DVD, AUX, TV, and STB) blink twice.
   
   
4. Press 977.
   
   The STB button blinks twice.
   
   
5. Press OK.
   
   The STB button blinks three times to indicate you've successfully programmed your remote to turn devices on and off one at a time.

Once you've completed this procedure, to turn on or off both the TV and the STB you'll need to:

1. Point the remote toward the TV and STB and press TV, then press Power.
   
   
2. Press STB, then press Power.
   
   Your TV and STB will power on or off accordingly.
