Determining the code that worked for your Motorola DRC800 Remote To determine the device code that worked for your Motorola DRC800 Universal Remote Control, follow the steps below:
  1. Press and hold the device button for at least six seconds for the device you successfully set up (AUDIO, DVD/VCR, TV, CABLE).

  2. The lights for each device button light up and the light for the device button you selected remains on.

  3. Press 990.

  4. The device button you selected in step 1 blinks twice.

  5. Press 1 and then count the number of times the device button blinks.

  6. The number of blinks indicate the first digit in the code. For example, 5 blinks means the first digit in the code is 5. If the device button does not blink, then the digit is a zero.

  7. Press 2 and then count the number of times the device button blinks.

  8. The number of blinks indicate the second digit in the code.

  9. Press 3 and then count the number of times the device button blinks.

  10. The number of blinks indicate the third digit in the code.

  11. Press 4 and then count the number of times the device button blinks.

  12. The number of blinks indicate the fourth digit in the code.

  13. Write down the code and keep it in a handy location. You may need it again if the device code is accidentally erased.
