  1. Start Outlook Express.
  2. From the Tools menu, select Message Rules.
  3. Select Mail.
  4. The New Mail Rule dialog box will display.
  5. Select the condition(s) that will trigger this rule.
By creating Outlook Express email rules, you can:
  1. Draw attention to selected emails.
  2. Organize emails based on sender.
  3. Organize emails based on subject.
  4. Automatically delete spam.

When a condition is selected, additional information is displayed in the Rule Description section.

Most conditions require additional information and will display a blue hyperlink. Click on the blue link to further define the conditions that will identify how this email will be processed.

For example, if you want to provide special processing for all emails from your husband/wife, you would select "Where the From line contains people" and click on the "contains people" link in the Rule Description section to select your husband/wife from your Address Book. [Show Movie Clip]
