If I don't open email attachments, can I still get a virus? Most viruses spread through email attachments. If you open an infected email attachment, it will often send itself to the entries in your Address Book. If you don't open email attachments, you are not likely to get viruses from your email. However, if you download an infected file from the Internet, a virus may attach itself to files in your computer.
