Step 3: Printing to a shared printer Once you have configured Windows to share network printers and added the shared printers to your list of available printers, selecting a shared printer is just like selecting a printer connected to your computer.

  1. Select Print from within the application whose content you want to print.

  2. Select the printer you want to use from the list of available printers.


    • Note: Only the printers on your home network attached to computers that are powered on will display.

  1. Continue setting the printer settings as you would if the printer was attached to your computer.


  2. Click OK to start the print job.
