Changing your VersaLink 7500 gateway's password Note: The configuration screens may vary slightly depending on when you purchased your router and the version of firmware running on it.
  1. Open your Web browser and enter http://192.168.1.1 in the Address field.

  1. Enter your current user name in the User Name field and enter your password in the Password field. Click Ok.


  2. If you don't remember your user name and password, please try "admin" for the User Name and "password" for the Password (don't enter the quotation marks). [Show Me]


  3. If "admin" and "password" don't work as the user name and password, the default user name and password have been changed to a unique user name and password and no further action is required: you can close the login window and continue using your High Speed Internet service.


  4. If you don't remember your unique user name and password and want to change them, you must reset your VersaLink 7500 to the factory default settings.
    • Warning: If you reset your VersaLink 7500 to the factory default settings, all wireless home networking settings will also be reset to the default values, and you will have to re-configure all devices on your network.
