To determine whether you have a wireless network adapter installed:

  1. Click Start in the left Taskbar.

  2. Right-click Computer and select Properties. [Show Me]

  3. Click Device Manager in the left navigation panel. [Show Me]

  4. Click Continue in the User Account Control pop-up window.

  5. Click the "+" icon in front of Network adapters to expand this category. [Show Me]

  6. Look for a wireless adapter in the list. If you have a wireless adapter listed, close the Device Manager window and continue by connecting to the network.

  8. If you don't have a wireless adapter, you'll need to purchase one and then install and configure it.
