Flash is not being displayed after installing the latest Flash Player. This problem often results from a Flash Player installation having been aborted and then re-initiated at a later time. When you attempt to view the Flash animation, you may see an error message stating that the "Object doesn't support this property or method".

Solution: Download and install the STANDALONE version of the Flash Player installer.
The simplest way to correct the problem is to download and run the "standalone" version of the Macromedia Flash Player installer. Doing so will resolve any outstanding Windows registry issues that may have been created by earlier installation attempts.

Follow the steps below to download and run the standalone version of the Macromedia Flash Player installer.

  1. Direct your Internet Explorer to http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/ts/documents/killbitblock/flashplayer7_ax.exe
  2. A File Download - Security Warning dialog box will appear; click Save.
  3. A Save As dialog box will appear; select the location to which you want to download the installer file and click Save. An installer icon will appear in the designated location.
  4. Double-click the installer icon and click Run.
  5. A Macromedia Flash Player prompt will appear, asking you to confirm that you want to install the appropriate ActiveX control. Click Yes.
  6. You'll need to restart Internet Explorer for your new settings to take effect.
