Disabling anti-virus or fax software If you are having problems installing software, check to see if any programs are running in the background. You may have to temporarily disable anti-virus or fax software before you can successfully install Verizon Online software.

To learn how to disable a particular software program, consult the documentation that came with that software. After installing Verizon Online software, be sure to restart any software that you temporarily disable.
