Check Your Current Balance by Phone You can check your current bill balance by phone using a Quick Code on Verizon's interactive voice system.

The Quick Code for checking your current balance by phone is 4BAL (or 4225).

To check your balance using a Quick Code:

1. Have a copy of your bill on hand before you begin.
   


2. Dial 1-800-VERIZON (1-800-837-4966).
   After the greeting, you will be asked if you have a Quick Code.
   


3. Say or enter 4BAL or 4225.
   


4. Follow the recorded instructions to check your current balance.
