International Calls Appearing on Your Bill Accessing some adult entertainment Web sites can result in international long distance charges on your telephone bill. Visitors on Web sites where adult entertainment advertisements appear may click on these advertisements without fully understanding the charges that may be assessed for such site access.

In some cases, free software can be downloaded onto the computer that allows access to adult Web sites without the use of a credit card. Once the software is downloaded, a pop-up window may appear with a long disclaimer stating that if you click "yes", the modem connection to your local Internet service provider will be terminated and an international long distance call will be established using your telephone line.

Carefully read the entire disclaimer before clicking "yes". You should understand that you are responsible for charges associated with the long distance calls made to access the adult entertainment Web sites, including those made via your computer usage.

Placing a block through your long distance provider will only block calls on its network, not others, so it is recommended that you contact your local provider.
Contact Verizon to dispute any incorrect charges.
