Discontinuing Your Paper Bill With Verizon Online Billview, you can request that your paper bill be discontinued as long as you do not have the "do not accept checks" indicator on your account. This service is known as Verizon Paperless Billing. Request PaperFree Billing If you are already a registered user of verizon.com, sign in to My Verizon and select Paperless Billing Enrollment. Otherwise, register online and then enroll in Verizon Paperless Billing.

You will have the option to enroll in one of the Verizon recurring payment options. Click Yes and Continue to sign up for a Recurring Payment Option or No and Continue to return to your "My Verizon" summary page.

It will take approximately 45 days to discontinue your paper bill. You may receive one or two paper bills during this time, depending upon your billing cycle.
Confirmation You will receive an email confirming your enrollment in Verizon Paperless Billing.

You will receive another email when your paper bill has been discontinued. You will also receive emailed billing notifications as reminders to pay your bill at the proper times.
Important account information communicated through email may be affected by any email filtering "SPAM" software you have installed on your computer.

Verizon uses your email address to:
  • Confirm your registration, online order status or payment confirmation.

  • Notify you when your bill is available for viewing online.

  • Respond to inquiries.

  • Keep you updated about news and information relevant to your account(s).


To ensure that you receive important emails from Verizon, please do one of the following:

  • Add the "verizon.com" and "vznotes.com" domains to your email "safe list."

  • If your settings do not allow you to add email addresses to a "safe list," use the Help section or contact your email/Internet provider's Customer Support to research your configuration options.

  • Disable your email filtering SPAM software.
