Additional Information About Caller ID Display Unit Caller ID requires either a small display unit or display telephone that you must provide.

Follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer for setting up your display unit or telephone. The instructions will also let you know how many numbers the unit can store and how to review and remove numbers from the list.

If Your Display Unit Shows the Wrong Name

Please Contact Verizon by phone, Live Chat, or email in order to have a Verizon agent correct the name that appears on the Caller ID display units of those you call. Messages on Your Display Unit When you receive a call from outside a specially equipped area, a special message will appear on your display unit or telephone instead of the name and/or phone number. Check your display unit's instructions to determine what message will be shown.

• Caller ID - Number Only Shows the caller's number only.
  
  
• Business calls When you receive a call from a business, you may see the main telephone number of a business instead of the number of the specific person calling you.
