OnePoint Voice Mail - Sending Messages Note OnePoint Voice Mail instructions are the same as for Home Voice Mail except where noted. Send message without ringing the recipient's phone You can send a message to other Verizon Home Voice Mail users or Group Lists within your calling area, without ringing the recipient's phone.

Start at the Home Voice Mail Main Menu.
  1. Press 2 to send a message.


  2. Enter the 10-digit number or the 1- or 2-digit Group List number where you want the message sent, then press #.
    You can repeat this instruction to add more addresses, or if necessary, you can press * to start over.


  3. Press # when you finish entering the addresses.


  4. At the tone, begin to record your message to the recipients.


  5. Press any button to notify the system that you have finished your message.
    In some areas you may have to press 1.


  6. Press # to send your message.
    If you hang up without pressing #, your message will be automatically sent.
You can send a message to other Verizon Home Voice Mail users or Group Lists within your calling area, without ringing the recipient's phone.

You can use the Delivery Options menu to send your message as urgent, private, for future delivery (up to 30 days), or confirmed delivery (with a return receipt).

Start at the Home Voice Mail Main Menu.
  1. Press 2 to send a message.


  2. Enter the 10-digit number or the 1- or 2-digit Group List number where you want the message sent, then press #.
    The system will play the recorded name of the mail box's owner or repeat the number you dialed.


  3. Press 1 to continue.


  4. Record your message after the tone, then press # to open the Send menu.


  5. Select one of the following options from the Send menu:


    • Press 1 to send the message.


    • Press 2 to record the message.


    • Press 3 to listen to the message.


    • Press 4 to hear your delivery options.


    • Press 5 to add to the recording.


    • Press * to cancel sending the message.


  6. To sent the same message to other mailboxes, press *.


  7. If you do not want to send the message to additional mailboxes, press #.
You can send a message to other Verizon Home Voice Mail users or Group Lists within your calling area, without ringing the recipient's phone.

Start at the Home Voice Mail Main Menu.
  1. Press 2 to send a message.


  2. Listen to the recorded instructions to:


    • Enter the 10-digit number or the 1- or 2-digit Group List number where you want the message sent.


    • Record your message.


  3. Press for Delivery Options.


Send message to a non-subscriber (recipient's phone will ring) This feature is available for Deluxe and OnePoint Voice Mail only and may not be available in all areas.

  1. At the Main Menu, press 2 to send a message.


  2. Enter the 10-digit number of the person you wish to send a message to, then press #.
    You will be prompted to record the name for this number.


  3. Press 1 to record a name and follow the prompts to accept it, or
    Press 2 to continue without recording a name.


  4. Repeat step 2 to add more numbers.


  5. Press any key when you are finished.


  6. Press # to send your message.
    If you hang up without pressing #, your message will be automatically sent.
Blocking your Caller ID When you send a message, your mailbox number (Caller ID) is attached to your message. You can block your Caller ID from being attached; however, when your Caller ID is blocked, you cannot use Return Receipt and the recipient is unable to reply to your message.

For all messages:

  1. From the Main Menu, press 4 to go to Personal Options.


  2. Press 7 to enable or disable sending your Caller ID.


  3. Press 1 to turn it off or on.
On a per message basis:

  1. After recording your message, press # to go to the Send Message menu.


  2. Press 6 to block your Caller ID for this message only.


  3. Press # to send your message.
