Dropped Calls There are several issues that might cause dropped calls.

Determine if the problem is being caused by a faulty phone or jack.
Maintain your equipment Follow the manufacturer's instructions to maintain your equipment. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the phone. Water or cleaning fluid may damage the phone. Do not remove the facing cover. This could void your warranty.

The problem might not be with something you consider part of your phone system. For example, static on the line can be caused by cordless telephones with weak batteries. Or, your burglar alarm could be the reason your phone is dead. The simple step of disconnecting the alarm for a few seconds is often all that is needed to restore the dial tone.
Problems with inside wiring  If you have a problem with your inside wiring or jacks, you can choose to fix it yourself, hire a provider of your choice, or contact Verizon to request repair service. A service charge will apply for Verizon Repair assistance. If the problem persists, begin troubleshooting your phone equipment Is the problem on all your telephone sets?

You can use the Verizon Troubleshooter to diagnose your telephone's problem and request a repair if an issue is detected.
