Dropped Calls There are several issues that might cause dropped calls.

Determine if the problem is being caused by a faulty phone or jack. Maintain your equipment Follow the manufacturer's instructions to maintain your equipment. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the phone. Water or cleaning fluid may damage the phone. Do not remove the facing cover. This could void your warranty.

Or, your burglar alarm could be the reason your phone is dead. The simple step of disconnecting the alarm for a few seconds is often all that is needed to restore the dial tone.
