Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 8 error message “Not Supported Method” or "Network Error" Some users using Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 8 may be experiencing intermittent login issues displaying either "Not Supported Method" or "Network Error". Verizon engineers are working on a patch to resolve the issue. In the meantime, if you receive a login error using Google Chrome or Internet Explorer 8, you can clear cookies and try again or use another web browser such as Firefox.

To delete cookies using Google Chrome:
  1. Click the wrench icon tools menu on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Options (Preferences on Mac and Linux; Settings on a Chromebook).
  3. Click the Under the Hood tab.
  4. Click Content settings in the "Privacy" section.
  5. Click the Cookies tab in the Content Settings dialog that appears.
  6. Click All cookies and site data to open the Cookies and Other Data dialog.
  7. To delete all cookies, click Remove all at the bottom of the dialog.
  8. To delete a specific cookie, select the site that issued the cookie, then the cookie, and click Remove.
How to delete cookie files in Internet Explorer 8
  1. Exit Internet Explorer 8, and then exit any instances of Windows Explorer.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • In Windows Vista or Windows 7, click Start button, type inetcpl.cpl in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
    • In Windows XP, click Start, click Run, type inetcpl.cpl in the Open box, and then press ENTER.
  3. On the General tab, click Delete under Browsing History in the Internet Properties dialog box.
  4. In the Delete Browsing History dialog box, click to clear all of the check boxes except for the Cookies check box, and then click Delete.
