    • McAfee Personal Firewall Using McAfee Personal Firewall is a preventive measure to stop spyware from infecting your computer. McAfee Personal Firewall creates a barrier between your computer and the Internet, and monitors inbound and outbound Internet traffic. It helps to prevent hackers from gaining access to data on your hard drive and stops spyware from transmitting your personal information to a hacker on the outside of the firewall. The firewall helps to protect your computer from attacks from the outside and spying from the inside.

    Installing McAfee Personal Firewall

    If you have downloaded and activated MSN Premium:
    1. Open MSN Premium
    2. Select Firewall from the Safety menu
    3. Follow the directions provided to set up Personal Firewall
    If you have not downloaded MSN Premium:
    1. Download and activate the MSN software
    2. Open MSN Premium
    3. Select Firewall from the Safety menu
    4. Follow the directions provided to set up Personal Firewall
