FiOS® Digital Voice is an advanced voice service on Verizon's 100% fiber-optic network. It has enhanced calling features that give you control and flexibility when making and receiving calls. You can manage your calling features and your calls from any computer with an Internet connection, by using the online Account Manager.
10-Digit Dialing To make a call using FiOS Digital Voice, you must dial the area code and the seven digit number for all of your calls.
Home AlarmIf you have a home alarm connected to your phone,you must ensure that your alarm is set for 10-digit dialing if you live in a 7-digit dialing area.
Call Restrictions You cannot receive Collect or third Party Calls, and you cannot place 900 calls using FiOS Digital Voice.

Battery Back Up In case of a power outage, FiOS Digital Voice will operate on battery back up for approximately 8 hours.
Voice Mail Messages If you are migrating from Verizon residential service to FiOS Digital Voice, the voice mail messages from your old mailbox will not be saved. You will also have to set up a new greeting message.
Voice Mail Password When you set up your voice mail, your password is typically the last four digits of your home telephone number. If you ever forget your password, you can reset it online.

Setting up your Home Voice Mail
Dial the access number you were given when you signed up for Home Voice Mail service. If you did not receive, have lost or forgotten your voice mail system access number, you can look it up online.
If calling from your home phone, enter your temporary passcode - the last four digits of your telephone number. If you are calling from another phone, press * when you hear the system greeting, enter your 10-digit telephone number, then enter your temporary passcode.
You must activate, deactivate, or change your forwarding number from your home phone.
Activating Call Forwarding
You can activate Call Forwarding whenever you want your calls to be sent to another phone, including a mobile phone. Once activated, all your calls will be sent to the forwarding number you request. Each time a call is forwarded, you will hear one short reminder tone on your home phone, but you will not be able to answer the call from your home number.
Lift your telephone's receiver and listen for a dial tone.

Dial 1172 on rotary or pulse-dialing phones.
When you hear the tone, set or change the Call Forwarding number by dialing the telephone number where you want your calls transferred. You will hear the number you entered ring. When the number is answered, Call Forwarding is activated.
If the call is not answered or the line is busy, hang up and call the number again within two minutes.
You will hear two short tones telling you that Call Forwarding is activated. .
