Home Control: Choose your service

Adding and Removing Devices After you setup your Home Monitoring and Control network, you may want to add another device. For example, you may want to add an Indoor Light Module to a new table lamp. To add the device to your Home Monitoring and Control network, you’ll first pair it with the Gateway Device (and Remote Control) and install it.

Later, you may need to unpair your device and prevent the device from sending information to your computer, smartphone or FiOS TV.

Add a Device

To add a new device to your Home Monitoring and Control network:
  1. Log in to http://monitoringcontrol.verizon.com/ with your Verizon Online User name and password.

  2. From main menu, click Device Settings.

  3. From the My Devices page, click Add a Device.The Setup Wizard displays. Select the device you want to add.

  4. From the Choose Device page, click Begin Setup for the device thumbnail you want to add. If your device is not shown, use the << or >> buttons to scroll and search for it.

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your setup..

Remove a Device
Removing a device is only necessary when you want to remove it from the Home Monitoring and Control network.

To unpair a device:
  1. Log in to http://monitoringcontrol.verizon.com/ with your Verizon Online User name and password.

  2. From the Home Control main menu, click Device Settings. The My Devices page displays.

  3. Click Device Settings for the device you want to remove.

  4. From the Device Settings page, click Unpair Device. he Unpair Wizard displays.

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Unpairing process. After unpairing your device, wait at least 10 seconds before unpairing any other device. Otherwise, unpairing of the first may not complete successfully.
