The Home Control Mobile App provides management of your activated Home Monitoring and Control devices from your compatible smartphone.
Note: The screen images shown below may appear different on your phone, depending on whether you're using an Android or an iPhone model.

Access the Home Control App After you download and install the Home Control app on your phone, tap the Home Control icon from your smartphone.
Sign-in with your Verizon Online User name and Password and create a access code and PIN number. This access code is only used to log in to the Home Control app and access your devices. Note: The first time you launch the Home Control app, you must accept the the end user license agreement.
Tap an icon from the Home Control Dashboard to access and manage your devices remotely. |

Activate Modes Modes are pre-set scenarios that activate your monitoring or energy devices. After you create modes* from the Home Monitoring Web portal on My Verizon, the modes appear on your smartphone's mode list. Once you create modes, you can run/suspend or check the status of modes from your computer, compatible smartphone, or FIOS TV. |

Manage cameras Access Live Streaming and Still Snapshots
Camera off-line? If a camera is off-line or not activated, you'll see a red exclamation mark next to the camera name on the camera list screen. Follow camera troubleshooting tips for help.
*You will only see cameras you've purchased and set up on the mobile app dashboard. Camera video storage space is automatically available when you purchase a Home Monitoring or Home Monitoring and Control Kit. |

View Notifications/Activity Logs Notifications* are the email or text messages you'll receive when a mode or device is activated. Activity logs are messages that report all device and mode activity each day (no setup is required).

Review your energy usage The Energy Reader* lets you monitor how much energy (kwh) your home is using for each day in the current month.
*You'll only see the energy icon when you've purchased an energy kit that includes energy devices. |

Manage Your Thermostat Remotely monitor and change your home's temperature right from your smartphone. Closely monitoring the thermostats in your home saves you energy and money over time.
Note: The thermostats available in the Home Control app were set up and activated from the Home Monitoring and Control Web site on My Verizon.

Access your Devices From the Devices icon, remotely turn activated devices on or off. On the Devices screen, review your devices and tap the device you want to modify.
For example, you can: Turn on/off your lamp, adjust dimmer brightness Turn on/off appliance switches Activate door locks View door/window sensor state ("Open" or "Closed")
Note: You must set up and activate your device before you can access a device from your smartphone. |
