Incomplete Calls, Dead Air, Fast Busy Check your phone equipment

A common cause of incomplete calls is a stuck or malfunctioning keypad. Make sure you can hear all tones when you dial.

Follow the manufacturer's instructions to maintain your equipment. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the phone. Water or cleaning fluid may damage the phone. Do not remove the facing cover. This could void your warranty.

Verify the number you are dialing

Ensure that the area code and number you are dialing are correct.

Problem with long distance calls only

Contact Verizon if you are having trouble only when you try to place a long distance call.
Problem with all calls This is probably a local phone service problem and not the result of your long distance provider. Contact your local phone service provider. Fast busy Network problems, such as busy circuits, could cause this problem. Hang up and dial again.
