Difficulty Making Long Distance Calls If you are experiencing difficulty in making long distance calls, the trouble should be referred to your long distance carrier.

If your long distance carrier is Verizon, contact us.
Additional information if you cannot make long distance calls Reasons that you cannot make long distance calls might include:

  • Restriction of your long-distance calling service if your payments are not current (commonly referred to as toll blocking)


  • Physical problems at a telephone switch (in which case, you should contact your long distance carrier)


  • Your Call Forwarding service may be activated
You can use the Verizon Troubleshooter to diagnose the problem and request a repair if an issue is detected.
