La Feria de la Familia is designed to provide information, services and entertainment in a festive, family atmosphere, free to the public. Over the years, La Feria has established itself as a dynamic and powerful forum connecting businesses to the Hispanic community. Verizon volunteers will assist in the management of a Verizon booth where we will be providing information on our products and services, and on Verizon's corporate social responsibility programs benefiting the community at large.
When: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Food 2 Feed Phone-a-thon

Employees assist WHUR 96.3 during a 12 hour "Food2Feed" broadcast to
collect monetary and non-perishable food items that will be turned over to Bread for the City, a private, non-profit organization that provides vulnerable Washington residents with comprehensive services including food, clothing, medical care, legal and social services.
When: 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
1st shift - 6 am - 10 am
2nd shift - 10 am - 2 pm
3rd shift - 2 pm - 6 pm
