Prince George's County

Verizon is upgrading its network in Prince George's County  -  creating a new broadband network that also will deliver the alternative to cable TV that you have been waiting for: Verizon FiOS TV.

We're working with Prince George's County and the leadership of incorporated communities to deliver more choice and competition to the video entertainment market.  County officials understand the importance of broadband technology and cable TV choice.

We're on track for a public hearing and vote on November 28.

If you want cable competition - better choices, better service and better prices - we urge you to support our bill, CB-82-2006,  by asking your County Council member to vote "YES" on the Verizon cable franchise on November 28.
