Customer Proprietary Network Information or CPNI
CPNI:
The Federal Communications Commission refers to certain telephone account information as Customer Proprietary Network Information or CPNI. This information relates to the type, technical arrangement, quantity, destination, location, and amount of use of telecommunications and interconnected Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services and related billing information.

We may use this information, without further authorization by you, to offer you services of the type you currently buy from us, and, with your consent, the full range of products and services available from Verizon and other Verizon companies that are different from the type of services you currently buy from us. Use of your information will permit us to offer you a package of services tailored to your specific needs. We also may share your information, without further authorization by you, with other Verizon companies with whom you already have an existing service relationship.

If you are a Verizon or Verizon Wireless mass-markets customer, no action is necessary to permit us to use your information to offer you services that may be different from the category of services you currently buy from us. However, before using your information for the first time for this purpose, we will notify you by mail or through your account representative. You will then have 30 days to tell us, using the toll-free number or other methods mentioned in our notice, if you do not want us to use your information to offer those services. After the 30-day period has expired, Verizon may use your information to offer services different from those you currently buy from us unless you have notified us that we may not use it for this purpose. At any time, however, you can change your decision by calling us at the toll-free number we provide. Your decision will remain in effect unless you change it.

Verizon Participates in the TRUSTe Privacy Program

TRUSTe: Click to Verify The TRUSTe seal confirms that Verizon is a licensee of the TRUSTe Privacy Program. TRUSTe is an independent organization that seeks to build users' trust and confidence in the Internet by promoting the use of fair information practices. Verizon wants you to feel confident about your privacy when you use our Web sites (verizon.com, verizonmarketing.com, verizonwireless.com, mci.com, verizonbusiness.com, vzw.com, vzwshop.com, and verizon.net) so we ask TRUSTe to review these sites to ensure compliance with its guidelines.

Please contact us if you have questions or concerns regarding our privacy policy. If you have not received acknowledgement of your inquiry or your inquiry has not been addressed satisfactorily, you should contact TRUSTe who then will serve as a liaison to help resolve your concerns.

The TRUSTe program covers only information that is collected through Verizon's Web sites and does not cover information that may be collected through software downloaded from the sites.
