Verizon Nuisance Call Bureau (NCB)
The NCB functions as the primary and initial customer and/or law enforcement contact for nuisance call complaints (harassing, nuisance, threatening, obscene, misdirected faxes, computer calls, etc.).

Verizon Law Enforcement Assistance (LEA)
The Verizon Law Enforcement Assistance Department is responsible for receipt, review and compliance for all subpoenas, search warrants, court orders and national security letters issued by criminal justice system agencies. In addition, civil subpoenas and court orders requesting Verizon customer information should be should be mailed to the Law Enforcement Assistance Department.

NOTE: All subpoenas and/or court orders naming Verizon as a party to a civil or criminal suit the following applies: Anyone may serve Verizon by serving Verizon's registered agent for service of process. Verizon's registered agent for 95% of Verizon Legal Entities is CT Corporation. CT Corporation can be contacted in the state of venue or the CT Corporation name and address can be obtained from the Secretary of State's office in the state of venue.

Verizon Security Control Center (SCC)
The SCC serves as a single point of contact for law enforcement in emergency situations. The center is staffed 24x7 every day of the year. Examples of law enforcement requirements include:
  • Emergency tracing of calls (bomb threat, hostage situation, kidnapping, runaway, etc.)
  • Network intrusion, hackers
  • 911 tracing
  • Retrieval of court ordered information
