Systems Requirements:
To connect your wireless gateway you will need an Ethernet connection to the splitter. The wireless gateway is an integrated modem and router that will replace your modem while also functioning as a wireless router.
The computer that you connect to your gateway will need to meet the minimum system requirements for Verizon High Speed Internet Service. All other computers in your home network will need to meet the minimum system requirements for the piece of equipment to which they are connected, e.g. the gateway, PC card or USB adapter.

Minimum system requirements for each computer directly connected to the Gateway:
  • Pentium® or Equivalent machine
  • Microsoft® Operations systems supported:
    • Windows® 98 SE, Millennium (Me), 2000, XP (Home & Professional), Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business & Ultimate)
  • Macintosh® OS X
  • 10 MB of free hard drive space
  • TCP/IP stack installed
  • 10Base-T Ethernet Network Interface Card (NIC) (Westell Gateway only)
  • 10Base-T Ethernet Network Interface Card (NIC) or USB port (Actiontec Gateway only)
  • Computer Operating System CD-ROM on hand
  • For wireless connections: An available IEEE 802.22b/g/g+ PC Adapter
  • For wireless connections: Internet Explorer 4.0 or Netscape 4.0 or higher
  • Ethernet Cable
